I help production companies, agencies, studios and other small UK businesses get more from the information they already have, using AI that can run in their own building.

Why media and creative teams

Content operations is the part of production that makes sure the right version of the right thing reaches the right place on time. It’s deadlines, approvals, versions, handovers and a lot of spreadsheets, and it’s where work most often gets stuck.

I also spent a lot of time on the receiving end of new systems: user acceptance testing, bug reports, feature rollouts. I’ve seen tools that worked on paper and failed on a Monday morning, usually because nobody had asked the people who would use them.

Why I set up Asrun

There’s a lot of checking and retyping in that work that AI can take on. What usually stops it is the same: teams can’t put client or unreleased material into public tools, and new systems get built without asking the people who’ll use them. Big companies have AI teams for this. Production companies, agencies and studios usually don’t. Asrun is how I give them the same.

What I studied

I have a BA in Business Management (Economics) from The Open University, completed in 2026. It’s useful for the part of every project that isn’t technical: working out what a change costs, what it saves and whether it’s worth doing.

Why local AI

Most AI tools send your files to someone else’s servers. For production companies and agencies that’s often a non-starter: unreleased material, client briefs, contracts and rates are exactly what they can’t hand over. Open-weight models are now good enough to run on a single Mac, so the AI comes to the work and the files stay in the building. You also get costs you can plan for, and a system you own outright.

How I work

I start with the work, not the technology. I watch how the job is done before suggesting anything.

I build with AI-assisted tools, quickly, and test against your real records before anyone relies on the result.

If a spreadsheet or a better process would do the job, I’ll say so.

You own what I build, and the machine it runs on.

What I’m not

I’m not a software house, and I don’t have a team of developers. If a job needs specialist engineering or security work, I’ll say so at the start and help you find the right people.

Tell me what’s slowing your team down.
